CATC supports the latest draft CSA Z94.4, Selection, Use and Care of Respirators – to protect ALL workers, especially in healthcare

The proposed revision reflects a much-needed evolution in Canadian health and safety practice — one that finally aligns respiratory protection with the current science of aerosols and airborne transmission and the ethical obligation to protect healthcare staff, patients, and the public. 

 

The Coalition has prepared a statement clarifying misinformation others have circulated, and explaining why the standard should be supported.

A response to the Review of the Federal Approach to Pandemic Science Advice and Research Coordination

The Coalition’s submission – with sign-ons by a range of specialists – to Health Canada’s review of the federal approach to pandemic science and research. We highlighted aerosol and airborne transmission and asked for an extended consultation and to be included in conversations.
